Congratulations Dr Kate Stenning

June 4, 2025

Islander Kate Stenning is the most recent addition to the list of qualified Falkland Islands doctors and CFL is proud to have been a small part of her journey.

Dr Stenning first applied to the CFL Charitable Trust in 2021 for some additional funding towards her MBChBS Joint Degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.

It was a four year course and The Trust continued to fund her throughout, to ensure she could concentrate on her studies and achieve consistent results .

Her lively and informative progress updates were received with relish by the Trustees and CFL staff and it was a moment of great pride to see her at work within the KEMH during April 2025. It was during this time that she received her final exam results and officially become Dr Kate Stenning.

She takes up her new post in Poole and Bournemouth in July and we look forward to welcoming her back home in the future to share her medical experience and care for the community.
